Removal of the steering mechanism
Remove the clips of the delivery and return of turns of the hydraulic amplifier. Drain the hydraulic fluid from the hydraulic system of the amplifier. Disconnect the discharge and return pipe fittings from the steering mechanism.
Disconnect the propeller steering shaft from the steering mechanism inside the passenger compartment (Fig. 5.29). Remove the band clamp and push the protective cover of the steering shaft, and then remove the base plate of a protective cover. Hang out the wheels of the car. Remove the front wheels.

Remove the cotter pin, remove the nut and disconnect the spherical rod end from the knuckle with the aid of a special tool (09568-31000) (Fig. 5.30).
Remove the bracket and steering locks and return discharge tubes (Fig. 5.33).

Remove the steering mechanism in gathering through an arch of the right front wheel (Fig. 5.34).
NOTE Remove the steering mechanism slowly and very carefully, so as not to damage the protective covers of steering rods and ball rod ends. |
