Checking the oil level in the transfer case

Check the oil level in the transfer case by removing the filler plug. If the oil is contaminated, it is necessary to drain the oil and refill with new oil.

With the car set on level ground, remove the filler cap (Fig. 3.46).

Check the oil level.
