Removal, installation and adjustment of position of a cowl



The hood is heavy enough body component and installing it is a fairly complex procedure. Removal and installation of the hood should be made by the at least two people.

Refitting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. For protection in the process of removing the hood fairing painted surfaces of the wings and the car cover them with blankets and whether issued by a specially for this purpose covers.
  2. Mark the position of the loop with respect to the car body to ensure proper installation of the hood in the assembly (use the prescriber, a marker or paint washes off easily).
  3. Disconnect all cables preventing the removal of the hood and wires.
  1. Before removing the hood, disconnect it from the harness backlight engine compartment.
  1. With the help of an assistant, who will support the hood, give nuts to it loops.
  2. Raise the hood.
  3. Install in reverse order.

Adjustment

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Longitudinal and transverse adjustment of the hood in the engine compartment opening made by shifting its relatively hinge plates after preliminary loosening bolts attaching them.
  2. To estimate the displacement of the bonnet hinge plate circle.
  3. Loosen the screws and slide the hood (not much for each approach), appropriately adjusting its position. Tighten the mounting nuts (or nuts) and carefully close the hood and check the correctness of his position.
  4. Adjust the position of the shock pads at the radiator support so that when closing the hood turned out flush with the upper wing panel.
  5. Position striker assembly on the hood can also be adjusted in the longitudinal or transverse direction after loosening the mounting bolts.
  6. Castle, as well as the hinges should be greased regularly white lithium-based lubricant to prevent acidification and service life (reduction of the rate of wear).
