Check fuel lines

A warning

The fuel system is under pressure even after the engine is switched off, therefore before a detachment of pipelines it is necessary to remove pressure in fuel system.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Connect the meter between the fuel filter and the main fuel hose.
3. Connect the cable to the negative terminal of the battery.
4. An additional wire connect plugs F / P (the fuel pump) and In the diagnostic socket.
5. Turn on ignition no more than 10, whereby the fuel pump starts to work and create the desired pressure in the fuel system.
6. Check the pressure in the fuel system.

Fuel pressure: 294-314 kPa

If the pressure exceeds the required values:

- Check the cleanliness of the fuel return pipe;
- If the fuel return pipe is clean, replace the pressure regulator.

If the pressure is below the desired value:

- Close the fuel return pipe, and check whether the pressure rises;
- If the pressure increases, replace a pressure regulator;
- If the pressure does not rise, measure the maximum pressure created by the fuel pump.

7. Turn off the ignition and remove the additional wire connecting the plugs of a diagnostic socket.
