Check of residual pressure in the fuel system

A warning

The fuel system is under pressure even after the engine is switched off, therefore before a detachment of pipelines it is necessary to remove pressure in fuel system.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Connect the meter between the fuel filter and the main fuel hose.
3. Connect the cable to the negative terminal of the battery.
4. An additional wire connect plugs F / P (the fuel pump) and In the diagnostic socket.
5. Turn on ignition no more than 10, whereby the fuel pump starts to work and create the desired pressure in the fuel system. If the ignition is left on for more than 10 seconds, an additional wire will overheat. Check for fuel leakage from the fuel system.
6. Turn off the ignition and remove the additional wire connecting the plugs of a diagnostic socket.
7. After 5 minutes, check the pressure in the fuel system.

Fuel pressure: not less than 176 kPa
8. If the pressure is less than the required check the fuel pump, pressure regulator and fuel injectors.
