Checking the fuel pump relay

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Make sure that it clicks into the fuel pump relay when the ignition key is turned from position OFF (OFF) to the START (start).
2. Remove the fuel pump relay and check its performance. Additional wires submit pressure from the battery to the contacts 85 and 86 of the fuel pump relay.
3. Check that the contacts 87 and 30 of the fuel pump relay closed when energized and open when the voltage is switched off. Otherwise, replace the fuel pump relay.
