Hydraulic jacks of backlashes of valves

Fill the hydraulic jacks of backlashes of valves with engine oil, keep upright and your fingers to squeeze the two sides.

Possible causes

Remedy
Temporary noise when starting from cold.
Normal The noise disappears after warming up the engine oil and achieve a normal pressure
  • Continuous noise after the engine does not start up within 48 hours.
  • Continuous noise when starting the engine and replace the cylinder head
  • Continuous noise after a long run the starter motor or towed
  • Continuous noise after replacing the hydraulic jacks of backlashes of valves
  1. Oil leaked from the chambers of hydraulic jacks of backlashes of valves, and they hit the air
  2. Insufficient oil in the engine oil ducts
  3. Oil leaked from the chambers of hydraulic jacks of backlashes of valves, and they hit the air

The noise will disappear after 15 minutes of engine operation when the crankshaft reaches a speed of 2000-3000 min -1

Do not increase the engine speed of the engine above 3000 min -1, as this may damage the hydraulic jacks of backlashes of valves

Continuous noise in the frequency of idling after driving at high speed
  1. The engine oil level is too low or too high
  2. A large amount of air dissolved in the oil after high speed
  3. Deterioration of motor oil
  1. Check the engine oil level
  2. Check the oil supply
  3. Check the oil and, if necessary, replace it
The noise lasts longer than 15 minutes
  1. The low pressure in the lubrication system
  2. Defective hydraulic jacks of backlashes of valves
  1. Check the pressure in the lubrication system
  2. Remove the cylinder head and pressing the hydraulic jacks of backlashes of valves, check the value of compression
