Repair Transmission



The transmission represents very difficult unit and its repair should be carried out in a specialized workshop. Also, when removing and installing the many details necessary to measure the gap and, if necessary, adjust them, which requires the use of appropriate shims and washers. Not only that, there are no details of the gearbox for sale and must be ordered, they are extremely expensive. However, some fault transmission can be eliminated without removing the transmission from the vehicle.

However, despite all the difficulties, experienced technician can repair the gearbox and at home. It is necessary to have special tools and do the work, step by step, noting the operation. When repairing the gearbox must use special pliers to remove the retaining rings, bearing puller, inertial hammer, set of punches, a micrometer and a hydraulic press.
