Lower arm front suspension

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove the front wheel.
2. Loosen the ball joint nut, but do not remove them completely.

3. A stripper squeeze out a pin of the spherical hinge of the bottom lever from the slot.

4. Remove the ball joint.

5. Remove the bolt plug to the socket of the lower arm.

6. Disconnect draft of the stabilizer of the lower arm.

7. Remove the two screws on the lower arm bushing (A).

8. Remove the bolt of the lower arm bushing (G).

9. Remove the steering gear.
10. Remove the stabilizer bar.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Establish draft stabilizer so that the distance (A) is equal to the standard value.

The standard value (A): 3-5 mm

2. Installation is spent to sequences, return to removal.

Dismantling

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove the connector with the lower arm.

2. Using the special tool, remove the mounting sleeve damper.

3. Using the special tool, remove the plug of the bottom lever (G).

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check the bushing for wear and deterioration.
2. Check the lower arm in the absence of bending or damage.
3. Check the ball joint dust cover for cracks.
4. Check all bolts.

5. Check the torque that must be applied to crank pin of the spherical hinge of the bottom lever.

  1. If there are cracks in the protective cover, replace it and add grease in the joint.
  2. Several times rocking from side to side of the pin of the ball joint of the lower arm.
  3. Measure the torque required for the rotation trunnion ball joint of the lower arm.
    Torque: 0.1-0.4 N ??? m
  4. If the torque is below the permissible value, replace the ball joint.
  5. If the torque exceeds the allowable value, the ball joint can be reused if the torque does not exceed 1.5 N ??? m.

6. Check the torque that must be applied to crank pin of the spherical hinge of draft of the stabilizer.

  1. If there are cracks in the protective cover, replace it and add grease in the joint.
  2. Several times rocking from side to side of the hinge pin of the spherical rod stabilizer.
  3. Screw the self-locking nut on a pin of the spherical hinge and then measure the torque required for the rotation trunnion ball joint.
    Torque: 1,7-3,2 N ??? m
  4. If the torque exceeds the allowable value, replace the stabilizer rod.
  5. If the torque is significantly lower than the allowable value, the ball joint can be reused if it is not jammed and is not excessive backlash.

Assembly

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Using the special tool, press-fit mounting sleeve damper.

2. Position the lower arm bushing (G) at an angle, indicated in the illustration.

3. Using the special tool, press-fit the lower arm bushing (G).

4. Install the connector on the lower arm.
