Fuel tank

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Start the engine and let it run until the stop associated with the lack of fuel in the fuel distribution line. As a result of actions taken to remove pressure in fuel system.

To eliminate the spray of fuel close the connection point of the fuel system and a clean cloth, being careful, gently disconnect the piping.

2. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery.

3. Remove the cap from the fuel filler.

4. Remove the drain plug and drain the fuel.

5. Disconnect hose EVAP and a hose of return of fuel.

6. Disconnect the connector from the fuel level sensor.

7. Disconnect the pressure hose from the fuel tank.

8. Support the fuel tank jack, unscrew the two self-locking nuts and remove the tape fixing the fuel tank.

9. Disconnect the water supply hose and a hose from the bottom of the inlet hose.

10. Remove the hose vapor recovery system and fuel tank.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check the hoses and pipes for cracks, bend, deformation, aging and fouling.
2. Check the function of the filler cap of the fuel tank.
3. Clean the tank and check for signs of corrosion, damage and cracks. Damaged or corrode the fuel tank must be replaced.
4. Check the internal surface of the fuel tank for contamination.
5. Check the fuel filter for blockage or damage.
6. Check the overflow limiter (two-way valve).
7. Check the two-way valve, purging it from both sides.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Connect the hose to compensate for the neck of the fuel tank by sliding it approximately 40 mm.

2. When connecting the filler hose must be connected to the shorter end of the straight pipe.

3. Install the fuel tank and secure it with the tape until it touches the bottom of the car.

4. Connect the hose of the fuel vapor recovery system and the return hose. Attach the fuel hose as shown.

5. To connect the pressure hose to the fuel pump, temporarily tighten the union nut by hand, then tighten them to the recommended torque specification.

Torque: 30-40 N ??? m

When tightening the screws, be careful not to bend or twist the phone and avoid damage to the fuel pump.

6. Plug the connectors of the electric fuel pump and level sensor.

7. Tighten the drain plug torque recommended specification.

Torque: 15-25 N ??? m
