Leak test hydraulic brakes

To prevent a sudden failure of the braking system, thoroughly check the condition of all pipelines. Replace parts with new ones, if there is the slightest doubt as to their suitability. All rubber parts of brake units (hoses, seals, etc.), Regardless of their condition are replaced with new after 100 000 km or 7 years of operation (whichever comes first) to prevent their sudden ruptures due to aging.

NOTE
In accordance with the manufacturer's brake fluid must be replaced after 30 000 km or 2 years of operation (whichever comes first).

Check the tightness of external examination:
- Top from under the hood;
- Lower the car (on the lift or pit);
- The sides of the car with the wheels removed.

HELPFUL ADVICE
Inspection of the hydraulic drive, working under pressure, spend with the assistant. He has four or five times to press the brake pedal (to create thus pressure in the hydraulic drive) and hold it as long as you do not check the hydraulic actuator. Inspection of the hydraulic drive is not under pressure, for example, but less effective.

NOTES
Upon detection of leakage connections tighten clamps, plugs, nuts.
Rubber hoses and pipes to mechanical damage and replace.
If non-working cylinders, replace them.

Leak test hydraulic brakes
You need a special key "10" for nuts pipelines.
Leak test hydraulic brakes
Leak test hydraulic brakes
1. Inspect the brake master cylinder reservoir and hose and pipe connections to the master cylinder clutch.
2. On vehicles with anti-lock brake system (ABS), inspect the pipe connections with electro block.
3. Check for fluid leakage from the brake pipe connections with hoses.
4. Inspect the brake hoses and their connections with the brakes. Hoses should not have cracks, tears and scuffs. Click to lock the brake pedal. If the hose appeared swelling, then torn strands braided hose and must be replaced.

5. Inspect the valve to release the air brakes of the front wheels.
6. Inspect the brake pipe connections with working cylinders and valves for air exhaust rear wheels.
Leak test hydraulic brakes
7. Check fastening of the pipeline in the holders on the basis of the body. The weakening or breaking holders leads to vibration and, as a result, damage to the pipelines.
8. On vehicles equipped with anti-lock brake system (ABS), check the condition and reliability of fastening of wheel speed sensors, the reliability of connection of wires to the sensors and damage the rings defining sensors.
