Ignition coil

Check
PERFORMANCE ORDER
Ignition system with the ignition distributor
1. Make sure the ignition is switched off.
2. Disconnect the connection of the ignition coil and check the resistance of the primary winding: on models 1993 and 1994 model years to check the resistance between terminals A and C; models 1995-1997 model years to check the resistance between terminals A and B.
3. Check the resistance of the secondary winding of the ignition coil: models 1993 and 1994 model years to check the resistance between the terminal C and the terminal high voltage wires; models 1995-1997 model years to check the resistance between terminal A and terminal high voltage wires ..
4. Replace the ignition coil if necessary.

5. Disconnect the connection of the primary windings of the coil. Measure the resistance between the negative terminal and each of the positive terminal.
6. Mark the high voltage wires and disconnect them from the coil. Check the resistance between pairs of terminals: on models with 4-cylinder engine, check the resistance between the upper and lower pairs of terminals; on models with 6-cylinder engine, check sorotivlenie between pairs of terminals A-B, C-D and E-F.
7. Replace the coil if necessary.
