Systems of air conditioning and heating

As part of the maintenance is necessary to regularly check the following:

Check the condition of the compressor drive belt. If necessary, replace a belt.

Check the belt tension and adjust it if necessary.

Inspect hoses for cracks, blisters, and frayed places. If necessary, replace the hoses.

Inspect the edges of the refrigerator and clean the dirt jammed in them.

Check the pressure of the refrigerant.

Check
PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Warm up the engine to operating temperature.
2. Set the temperature control knob in position of the cold air. Turn the top speed of the blower.
3. After conditioning system reaches operating temperature, touch two tubes connected to the refrigerator.
4. A thinner tube must be cold, and the thicker tube should be even with cold (about -16 ? C or -12 ? C).
5. If a thick tube is much warmer than the fine, the system must be an additional charge of refrigerant. Insert the thermometer into the center of the vent. The temperature of the air coming from the aperture should be lower by 20-25 ? C than the ambient temperature. If not, the system must be an additional charge of refrigerant for this address to the expert.

REFRIGERANT

Set to recharge the air conditioning system refrigerant

Recharging air conditioning systems more recent models that use the refrigerant R-134a, any motorist can hold their own. To do this, you must purchase a special set for recharging.

To recharge the air conditioning system refrigerant used two types of refrigerant R-12 and R-134. Systems charged with refrigerant R-12, are mainly used in the early models (1993). Maintenance of these systems should be carried out in specialized workshops.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Connect a hose to the valve located on the refrigerant tube or moisture separator.
2. Close contacts (indicated by arrow) of the pressure switch with a jumper, the compressor continues to operate while you are charging the system with refrigerant.

HEATING SYSTEM

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Measure the temperature of the air coming from the vent.
2. Inspect the hose block heater and evaporator, make sure it is not clogged.

If the air coming from the vents, not hot, the problem may be as follows:

a) The thermostat is stuck open. Replace the thermostat.

b) Clogged radiator hose heater. Wash the radiator hoses and the radiator.

c) Clogged radiator heater. If you wash the radiator fails, replace it.

If the blower is not working in all modes. See subsection 4.9.

If the air does not flow out of the vents:

a) Turn the ignition switch and blower. Listen, whether the fan motor.

b) If the motor does not work, replace it.

If flows from the vents steam or smell of antifreeze, then it takes a radiator heater to be replaced.

SMELLS CONDITIONING SYSTEMS

To remove odors arising from an air conditioning system, generally use special disinfectants. And, although the best solution would be to address in a specialized workshop, you can treat yourself elements of the air conditioning system.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
Remove the blower resistor and process disinfectant evaporator.
