In the Mazda fan relay is located in the right front corner of the engine compartment. On models Ford Probe used two relays - models 1993 relay low speed is fixed to the heat sink, and in the later models in the left rear corner of the engine compartment. Relays high speed fan located in the casing of the fan.

Blower is located under the glove compartment.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. If the blower is not working, first check the connection of the connectors in a chain of the fan. Check the engine fuse (15 A) in the inner panel of the heater fuses and fuse (40 A) in the fuse panel and switch, located under the hood.
2. Determine the location of the fan relay. Remove the relay and check that they function (see. Subsection 12.5). If necessary, replace the relay.
3. Test the fan in all modes.
4. If the fuses and relays are in normal condition, and the fan does not work, test the fan itself.
5. Connect the tester to the blue / red (Mazda) or white (Ford) contact. The tester should indicate a minimum of 10 (ignition is turned on, the fan mode switch is in any position except position OFF (OFF). If it is not in the chain of the fan there is a problem.
6. If a voltage is applied to the fan, and it does not work, connect with jumper blue / white (Mazda) or black / orange (Ford) wire to the ground on the car body. If the fan still does not work, it must be replaced. If the fan is running, this means that the ground circuit of the fan has a malfunction.
7. If the fan works, but not in all modes, check the fan resistor, which is located on the fan cover.
8. Remove the resistor and check it for damage. Check the resistance using an ohmmeter (see. Fig. Check the blower motor resistor). If necessary, replace the resistor.
9. If the resistor is operating normally, remove the control panel of the heater. In models Probe disconnect the wire from the back of the fan speed switch and check the resistance of the switch (see. Fig. Check of a gearshift of the delivery fan (Ford). The Mazda models connect the voltmeter to contacts of the switch and check whether pressure on the pins (see. Fig. Check of the switch of the delivery fan (Mazda). If the switch is faulty, replace it.
