Air Conditioning

Air conditioning in the car sets the temperature below the ambient temperature. If the air conditioner is turned on, the cabin is also reduced humidity. If you have the air conditioning is always set as a dust filter.

The standard heating and ventilation system is integrated cooling device, and the vehicle interior may also be cooled. The air conditioner operates on the principle of a refrigerator: a compressor driven by the engine via the V-belt, vapor condenses, environmentally friendly refrigerant (R 134a).

When the refrigerant is heated and sent to the condenser. There it cools and liquefies. Evaporative valve injects the cooled liquid to the evaporator, which is similar in its construction refrigerator. The refrigerant evaporates therein. As a result of the evaporation process flows around the outside of the pipe grid or air loses heat.

Thus the air is cooled and moisture is increased by the formation of condensation.

When the motor is running and turned on the fan in the vehicle interior can be cooled air flow through the various inlets.

Mercedes-Benz C-Class is commercially available with two versions of cooling: air-conditioning and automatic climate. The difference between these two options is to manage and maintain.

While the air conditioner is installed in the temperature control is carried out separately for the left and right of the cabin, with automatic climate temperature is controlled at the same time for the right and left side of the car.

The advantage of the automatic climate is conditioned to the fact that there is an additional switch "AUTO". If it is powered, it is fully automatic control of the amount and distribution of air in the cabin. If "AUTO" is off, the driver itself can determine the amount of air and its distribution as with conventional heating and ventilation, but, of course, for both parts of the interior of the car together.

A warning

Repair work on the installation of air conditioning should only be performed in a specialized repair shop.
