The front springs




A warning

Depending on the vehicle equipment in a variety of suspension springs are placed, each time with its rubber feet. To indicate the coil springs at the bottom put a red or blue bar, as well as the part number is stamped. When replacing the spring only place with the same designation.


Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Mark a paint position of the front wheels with respect to the hub. With this balanced tire after removal is returned to the same position. Release the wheel bolts to lift the vehicle. Raise the front and remove the front wheels.
2. Remove the shock absorber from the top, which substitute a lower arm garage jack and by placing a wooden lining, lift lever.
3. Remove the bottom protection of a motor compartment.
4. The spring suspension is compressed. It needs to shrink further to release the spring plate. Do this by using an appropriate device.
5. Squeeze the spring conventional stripper. The brand workshops for this purpose, a special device that includes a device for tensioning (01a) (000 589 46 31 00), the plate (01b), (01c) (000 589 79 63 00). This should cover the tensioner spring 8 turns. To compress the spring until it can not be pulled out.

A warning

Put tensioner in the spring coils so that they are properly covered and tensioner does not come loose. Compresses the spring at least three equally spaced points on a circle. Spring greatly compressed, so only use stable tool. To avoid an accident, do not bind the coils of the spring wire.


6. If a new spring is placed, removed slowly released.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Before installing the rubber mount to investigate the porosity or damage, if necessary - replace. Clean the installation location of the spring on the lever.
2. Install the tensioner spring and slowly squeeze the bulb.
3. Rotate to the right, put the rubber mount on the spring. To facilitate the installation of the support can be lubricated with liquid soap or glycerine.
4. Place the spring so that the end of the lower coil sitting on the palm of the spring plate in the lever.
5. Gently lift the wishbone using the garage jack, insert the upper end of the shock absorber. In front of the engine compartment put the puck shock absorber, tighten the nut on the rod to a torque of 15 Nm Insure its locknut to a torque of 30 Nm
A warning

When lifting the lever, take care not to raise the vehicle.


6. Slowly unclench a spring, making sure the correct fit of the rubber support in the support base and the bottom of the body on the lever.
7. Remove the garage jack.
8. Put the casing of the engine compartment.
9. Slide the wheel, following the previously applied paint marking their former position. Screw the wheel. Lower the car on wheels and crosswise tighten the wheel bolts to a torque of 110 Nm
10. Check the level of the car in the workshop on the front axle.
11. Install lights.
