Safety precautions when working on the engine management system

The fuel system is pressurized. Therefore, in places of disconnection of elements of fuel system previously put clean cloth, and then loosen the mounting place to relieve pressure in the system.
You must fulfill the following requirements:
- Do not touch or remove the high voltage wires with the engine running, as well as cranking the starter;
- Connect and disconnect the power supply system pipes, wires, ignition system and measuring devices only with the ignition off;
- To work with electronic ignition systems prohibits the admission of people with heart failure pacemaker;
- In the primary windings of the ignition coil voltage of 400 V. In order to avoid "breakdown" voltage ensure reliable contact holders of the ignition coil;
- Checking cylinder compression should not be injection.
Before starting repair and adjustment work must connect the device to a diagnostic socket and read fault codes, and check the tightness of vacuum connections for the possibility of additional air suction.
Clamps replaced by new ones with a tightening screw.
To ensure the normal operation of the instrument board voltage should be at least 11.5 V.
If after repair the engine starts briefly and then stops, it could be blocking the immobilizer control unit. In this case it is necessary to consider the fault codes and align them with the control unit. This work should be carried out in a specialized repair shop.
