Check AKP

The list of possible actions for independent verification of performance and automatic transmission repair, even for experienced motorists is very limited. This requires special tools and experience in this area. Therefore, even in the workshop adjustments and repairs AKP charge only well-trained specialists. Below are some simple guidelines for the early detection of faults:

By reducing the level of transmission fluid look under the car. Oil stains on the body indicate the cause of the leak AKP

1. If any failure in the automatic transmission, first check the transmission fluid level (Fig. 6.13).
2. During the test drive, check the switching points. To do this, the service station are special tables.
3. Correct adjustment linkage between the AKP and the accelerator - an important part of proper operation.
4. Measurements of the working pressure of the pump, pressure regulation and modulation - a task for specialists. Some of the pressures can be adjusted.
5. For correct assessment of the switching process must conform to normal idle speed.

Checking the switching process
When traveling, pay attention to the AKP: whether it works. The process of switching gears giving a presentation on the status of the unit.

SEQUENCE OF WORK
Upshift. Partial accelerator pedal gearchange is not very noticeable. In the "full throttle? (?Kick-down?) switching noticeable, but still shift to a higher gear takes place smoothly. Short unwinding of the engine to high speed switching indicates a possible violation.
Switching to a lower gear. Switching to a lower gear should be barely noticeable at low speeds (leg removed from the accelerator pedal). Charge the compulsory switch down fully or partially down the accelerator pedal - this is normal. Switching down selector lever is released with the accelerator pedal comes with a delay of 1-2 seconds. If, however, a forced switch the selector lever down simultaneously adding "gas", switching occurs without delay.

Checking the oil level in the ACP
Verification is usually carried out after an oil change or suspected leaks. The prescribed level of gearbox oil is very important for her excellent work, so check should be carried out with great care:
1. If low oil level is insufficient clutches are closed tightly and slip as oil hydraulic pump captures the air. What is happening is because of this foam causes premature wear of the AKP. Furthermore, oil is decomposed becomes resinous, it formed a precipitate.
2. If an elevated level of oil going higher oil contact with parts gearbox, making it overheats. This leads to the same consequences as in the air intake of the low level.
Hole fill transmission fluid located in the engine compartment. Through him, with the help of the probe and the fluid level checked.

SEQUENCE OF WORK
1. Apply the parking brake and move the lever selector lever to position ?P?.
2. Start the engine and let it idle for 1-2 minutes.

Checking the oil level in the ACP
Fig. 6.14. Checking the oil level in the automatic transmission 1 - the dipstick to check the level of the transmission fluid (located on the rear right side of the cylinder head); 2 - closing clip

3. Remove the closing clip 2 (Fig. 6.14) on the probe 1, pull out the dipstick and wipe it with a lint-free cloth.
4. To measure, insert the probe by turning to the back of the label (then by pulling the probe reading is not greased).
5. When the operating temperature of the automatic transmission (about +80 ? C), the oil level should be between the ?MIN? and ?MAX?.
6. At a temperature of about +25 ? AKP With oil level should be no lower than 12 mm from a mark ?MIN?.
7. Check the oil color and smell - both signs allow us to judge the state of the automatic transmission.
8. If necessary, top up with gear oil. Its amount shall not exceed the prescribed level. The volume of oil between the two divisions is 0.3 liters. In the case of overflow or pump out the excess oil drain.

PRACTICAL ADVICE
Status transmission oil
1. Pure, red - oil condition normal.
2. burnt and darkened - burnt clutches. AKP to be replaced, oil lines and oil cooler must be flushed.
3. The presence of solid particles in oil (metal particles) - PCA must be replaced.
4. resinous and sticky oil - AKP often subjected to overheating. Must be removed and the bulkhead
