Removing and installing transmission



To facilitate further installation must first enable it. Transmission can be removed as part of the power unit or separately from the bottom of the car.


Withdrawal

Disconnecting the speedometer gear


PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Set on the car stops over a viewing hole or overpass.
  2. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
  3. Remove the adjusting rod (cushion).
  4. Remove the exhaust system.
  5. Disconnect the carburetor throttle control rod.
  6. Unload the bottom gearbox wooden stand.
  7. Release engine mount in the vicinity of the rear cover of the CP.
  8. Disconnect the transverse engine support from the floor of the body.
  9. Remove the mounting bracket of the exhaust system (noting the place of installation washers).
  10. Loosen the nuts securing the propeller shaft.
  11. Loosen the screws of the intermediate bearing propeller shaft (not unscrew).
  12. Disconnect the propeller shaft from the gearbox, the gasket remains on the shaft.
  13. Move all the way back driveshaft.
  14. Disconnect the speedometer gear and remove the shaft from the bracket.
  15. Remove clutch slave cylinder, together with the pipeline take aside and fix the car so as not to interfere.
  16. Remove the starter.
  17. Remove the thrust of the gearshift.

    Weight of gearbox significant. Work with insurance and at least two people.

  18. Remove all bolts gearbox (the top two bolts turn away at the last stage).
  19. Shift transmission with adjusting pins in the axial direction.
  20. Lower the gearbox down, making sure that the input shaft came out of the clutch.


Setting

Installing gearbox is carried out in reverse order.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Before installation, check the clutch.
  2. Lubricate the drive shaft and centering pins with a thin layer of grease on the molybdenum-based (such as Liqui Moly).
  3. Install transmission.
  4. Check the condition of the flexible coupling propeller shaft for cracks, replace the damaged.
  5. Check the oil level in the gearbox.
  6. Bleed the clutch if necessary
  7. Remove the car with supports.
  8. Connect the negative terminal of the battery.
