Removal, installation and maintenance of components bonnet

- Open the hood and fix it in an upright position.
- Remove the screws (1) and pulling it up, remove the bottom section (2) of the castle assembly.
- Remove the lever release latch to the left under the instrument panel in the car and disconnect the drive cable (model on 08/31/99) / Disconnect the electrical connector (4) (models with 9.1.99).
- Disconnect the cable release latch (3) of the lower section (2) of the castle assembly and remove the latter from the crossbeam.
- Remove the screws (4 and 5) and remove the upper section (6) of the castle, on models equipped with a safety on 08/31/99 lock.
- Installation is in the reverse order.
- Finally, adjust the position of the hood (see. Section Removal, installation and adjustment of the bonnet), make sure of reliability of fixing it in the closed position and grease the exposed elements of the castle assembly (including a safety hook) and hinges. Check freedom and the smooth progress of the safety hook.

- Open the hood and fix it in an upright position.
- Remove the top crossbeam of the frame (see. Section Removal and installation of the front upper crossmember of the frame).
- Remove the hood lock (See above.).
- Release the drive cable from intermediate clamps for upper transverse beam of the frame.
- Remove the mounting screws / release clamps and remove the mounting fuse / relay box (see chap. Onboard electric equipment).
- If necessary, remove the intermediate clips (1) laying drive cable.
- Remove the cover to the left under the instrument panel (see. Section Removal and installation of the lower instrument panel covers).
- Remove the trim panel of the left foot well (see. Section Removal and installation of the front panel trim foot wells).
- Release the drive cable from its holder on the wall of the well.
- Remove the grommet (2) cable with mounting fuse / relay box.
- Pull drive cable (3) through the bulkhead into the engine compartment.
- Installation is in the reverse order - track correctness of laying cable.
