Removing and installing catalytic converters on diesel models

Details of the installation of the primary catalytic converter models 163.113 (612 series engine)

1 - Bolt
2 - sealing cone
110 - Turbocharger

111 - Pipe exhaust system
120/1 - Primary catalytic converter

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Details of the installation of the primary catalytic converter models 163.113 (engine series 612) are shown in the illustration, which includes all the links in the text.
  2. Remove the lower section of the soundproofing.
  3. Clenching Swedish disc springs (see. Illustration details the installation of the front section of the exhaust system on models 163.136 (111 series engine)), bend a steel screwdriver and release the latch spring connection mounting primary catalytic converter (120/1) to the tube (111) of the front section the exhaust system.
  4. Remove the bolt (1) attaching the primary catalytic converter (120/1)
  5. Remove the air cleaner.
  6. Release the clamp on the primary catalytic converter (120/1) to the turbocharger (110).
  7. Remove the catalytic converter (120/1).
  8. Installation is in the reverse order - track reliability snaps into the disc spring, tightening the mounting clamp made after fixing the catalytic converter on the support bracket.

Dispose of defective catalytic converters must be carried out in compliance with the legislation!

  2. Drive the vehicle on a lift.
  3. Remove noise insulation installed under the transmission element - the central section of the sound insulation, do not remove.
  4. Clenching Swedish disc springs (a and b), bend a steel screwdriver and release the latch spring connection pipe mounting front section of the exhaust system to the primary catalytic converter.
  5. Give nuts (3) securing the front section of the exhaust system to the support bracket (4) on the transmission.
  6. Separate assembly of the front section with a catalytic converter (2) from the rear silencer (6).
  7. Pulled back, remove the assembly (2) from under the car. Check the condition of thermoprotective screen bottom, replace the defective items.
  8. Installation is in the reverse order - track reliability snaps into the disc spring, tightening the mounting clamp made after fixing the catalytic converter on the support bracket.

Dispose of defective catalytic converters must be carried out in compliance with the legislation!
