The basic data and security measures

The ignition system ensures the ignition Combustion cylinder air-fuel mixture. For the formation of the spark intensity required 12-volt on-board supply voltage is converted into a high-voltage ignition coils (BB) - 30 000 V.

Electronic direct ignition is an integral part of the engine management system. The main working components of the ignition system are candles and ignition coils.

The distribution voltage supply explosives to the spark plug for spark controls an electronic control unit (ECM).

External timing adjustments are not made, - in violation of the required settings must replace the failed component.

Controls the ignition system is not subject to wear and do not require regular maintenance. In accordance with the maintenance schedule (see chap. Power supply system and exhaust) should be done only by the replacement of spark plugs.

Safety precautions when working with the ignition system and fuel injection control

In order to prevent personal injury and / or breakdown of the components of ignition / injection control is necessary to observe the following:

  • Do not touch the ignition system wiring and connectors disconnects it when the engine is running / rotating starter;
  • Perform disconnecting / connecting the fuel injection control system / electrical ignition system and connection / disconnection of any diagnostic and measuring equipment only when the ignition is switched off;
  • Do not allow to carry out maintenance work, electronic ignition system of people with implanted pacemaker;
  • Do not short to ground terminal number 1 ignition coils;
  • Do not connect the test lamp to terminal number 1 ignition coils.
