Bleeding the clutch. Replacing the hydraulic fluid

6-speed Manual transmission

The air from the clutch must be removed if the clutch pedal is not returned or is returned to the slowdown, the clutch is released, or if bad hydraulic opened.

security measures

? Since the hydraulic clutch operates the brake fluid must be acquainted with the materials of the Head Brake system.
? Brake fluid is poisonous and damaging the paintwork of the vehicle.

When the removal process described herein, the air system can remain a certain amount of it. A sign of this is the scarring and the complete clutch. In this case, the air from the hydraulic coupling should immediately remove the service station using a special device.

Removal of air without the use of a special device

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check the level of brake fluid in the reservoir, if necessary, add fluid to the system, refer to Chapter Routine maintenance.

Do not reduce the level of liquid in the tank, always top up the fluid.

Operation lifting and car installation on supports is connected with danger! Therefore, prior to the operation to check out the Poddomkrachivanie and towing Introduction to management.

2. Lift and establish the car on supports.
3. Remove the bottom.

4. Remove the dust cap from the bleed hole (arrow on the working cylinder). Put on a transparent hose fitting.

The accompanying illustration is informative and not fully consistent with the described model.

5. Carefully ensure the rotation of the union. To open, use spanner to prevent damage to the hexagon socket.
6. Lower the free end of the hose into a container of brake fluid so that in the process of removal of air he did not get into the system.
7. Ask the assistant to about 10 times all the way to press the clutch pedal and then leave the pedal depressed.
8. In this position, open the bleed hole, and the brake fluid begins to flow. When the effluent is no longer or if the air pressure of the liquid drops, close fitting.

Do not allow a significant reduction in the level of liquid in the tank, always top up with new fluid.

9. Release the clutch pedal and press it again 10 times. Keep the pedal in this position, open the choke. Repeat this procedure as many times as is necessary to ensure that the hose was visible air bubbles. At the same time constantly top up with new fluid into the reservoir.

If brake fluid is necessary to replace, remove the air for as long as the hose will be a new liquid. Its feature is a lighter color.

10. Close the plug on the slave cylinder. Remove the hose and put the dust cap.
11. Replace the bottom cover.
12. Fill the tank with liquid to mark MAX.
13. Check the brakes and clutch.

Venting via the device

In SRT air from the coupling system is removed, usually by means of a special tool. This device creates a fluid pressure in the system. The following describes only differences from the above-described method for removing air without use of the instrument.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Connect the device as described by its manufacturer for brake fluid reservoir.
2. Remove the dust cap from the union of removal of air on the clutch slave cylinder. Put on the hose fitting. End into a bottle of brake fluid.
3. Open the socket and keep it open as long until no air release, and then close the socket.

If brake fluid is necessary to replace, remove the air for as long as the hose will be a new liquid. Its feature is a lighter color.

4. Put on the union of the dust cap.
5. Remove the device to remove the air.
6. Fill the reservoir with brake fluid up to the MAX and close the tank.
