Removal, installation and check the clutch

Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove Manual transmission, refer to Section Removal and installation of the PPC.

2. Remove the Torx screws securing clutch (arrow in the illustration), one after another 1 - 1½ turn so that unload the disc. To eliminate rotation of the flywheel when loosening the screws, hold the screwdriver or a latch. SRT used for this purpose a special tool (1).

If you turn away Torx screws unevenly, it can cause damage to the diaphragm spring.

3. Then unscrew the screws that secure completely.

Make a note of the position of the clutch disc to install the assembly in its original position.

4. Remove the basket and the clutch disc.

Do not drop the disc when removing because otherwise after installation problems may occur in the clutch.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check the pressure plate in the presence of hot spots and grooves, replace if necessary.

2. Check the wear of the diaphragm spring tongues and their height, when necessary, carefully bend the ends of the springs.

Wear of the spring should not exceed 0.3 mm.

3. Check the pressure plate and baskets for cracks, and the strength of riveted joints. Shopping cart with damaged or weak, replace riveted joints.
4. Before installing a new clutch friction surfaces to remove the solvent protective coating of the new clutch. Then smooth out the rough sandpaper friction surface of the driven and pressure plate.
5. oily or mechanically damaged disk - replace.
6. Check the clutch in the transmission casing on the presence of noise, leaks and wear and replace if necessary.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Clean the spline connection clutch and the gearbox input shaft and grease with a thin layer of MoS2-lubricant, for example, MOLYKOTE BR 2.

Do not apply too much grease, otherwise it can get on the friction surface of the clutch, resulting in a malfunction of adhesion. The necessary amount of grease is the size of a grain of corn.

On engines with dual-mass flywheel splines is coated with nickel, which eliminates the need for lubrication. The sign is the absence of two-mass flywheel damper springs.

2. Center the clutch disc with the appropriate punch, for example, HAZET 2174 or the old secondary shaft of a transmission. If the clutch disc is not centered, and later will not be able to enter a secondary shaft of a transmission.

3. Install the clutch basket with clutch disc centered on the corresponding pins in the flywheel.
4. Screw the mounting screws of the hand basket, then tighten crosswise in several stages, each time for 1 - 1 ½ turns.

When tightening, take care to basket uniformly pressed to the flywheel. The torque specified in the specification.

5. Remove the centering a drift.
6. Remove the locking tool on the flywheel if it is installed.
7. Replace Manual transmission, refer to Section Removal and installation of the PPC.
