Checking the installation phase the camshafts

Engine 111

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove the cylinder head cover, refer to the appropriate section.
2. Turn the crankshaft to position the piston of the first cylinder 25 ? 2 ? ATDC, both cams of the first cylinder intake camshaft should face at an angle upwards.

3. Check the phasing of the inlet camshaft. To do this, check whether the finger is inserted into (1) through an opening in the front cover of the camshaft into the opening in the flange of the camshaft. If your finger is not inserted, there are variations in the angle of rotation of the crankshaft, if necessary, adjust the position of the camshaft.

Engine with camshaft adjustment: The stops are located around the circumference of the sprocket of the inlet camshaft (2) must be in the "late" (emphasis in the grooves of the flange in the direction of rotation of the camshaft) (arrow).

When installing the circuit incorrect if, for example, the chain is shifted by one tooth, the crank angle varies by approximately 20 ?.

4. Remove the installation finger.
5. Turn the crankshaft to position the piston of the first cylinder 28 ? 2 ? ATDC, both cams of the first cylinder exhaust camshaft should face at an angle upwards.
6. Check the phasing of the exhaust camshaft. To do this, check whether the finger is inserted (3) through the hole in the front cover of the camshaft into the opening in the flange of the camshaft. If your finger is not inserted, there are variations in the angle of rotation of the crankshaft, if necessary, adjust the position of the camshaft.

When installing the circuit incorrect if, for example, the chain is shifted by one tooth, the crank angle varies by approximately 20 ?.

7. Remove the installation finger.

Phasing Correction

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Cover the cylinder head must be removed.
2. Turn the crankshaft in the direction of rotation of the motor and set the piston of the first cylinder in position of 20 ? after TDC.
3. Remove the front cover.
4. Remove the chain tensioner, refer to the appropriate section.
5. Remove the top guide.
6. Remove the sprocket of the exhaust camshaft, holding a star from turning the hexagon. Remove an asterisk.
7. Turn the exhaust camshaft in the position of the main settings. Cams camshaft exhaust valves of the first cylinder are pointing upwards at an angle. Insert the pin (3) through the hole in the lid of the front bearing in the flange of the camshaft.
8. Remove the chain sprocket with the inlet camshaft.
9. Turn the inlet camshaft in the position of the main settings. Cams camshaft intake valves of the first cylinder are pointing upwards at an angle. Insert the pin (3) through the hole in the lid of the front bearing in the flange of the camshaft.
Engine with camshaft adjustment: The stops are located around the circumference of the sprocket of the inlet camshaft (2) must be in the "late" (emphasis in the grooves of the flange in the direction of rotation of the camshaft) (arrow).
10. Install chain sprocket on the inlet camshaft and the guide.
11. Insert the sprocket of the exhaust camshaft in the chain and secure the shaft of the new shoulder bolt torque 20Nm. Then, tighten the bolt on the usual key angle of 90 ?.
13. Replace the chain tensioner, refer to Section Removal and installation of chain tensioner.
14. Turn the engine twice in direction of rotation and once again check the basic setting of the camshaft. If necessary, repeat the adjustment.
15. Replace the front cover, refer to the appropriate section.
16. Install the cylinder head cover, refer to the appropriate section.
