PERFORMANCE ORDER

When installing the exhaust system, make sure that the individual elements of the system firmly docked with each other. Otherwise, when the exhaust gas control can be obtained incorrect results.
6-cylinder engines have a double-flow exhaust system with twin pipes. Working with this system is similar to working with a single-threaded system described below.

Operation lifting and car installation on supports is connected with danger! Therefore, prior to the operation to check out the Poddomkrachivanie and towing Introduction to management.

1. Lift and establish the car on supports.
2. Remove the lower trim of the engine compartment, address to Section Removal and installation of the engine compartment lid from the bottom.
3. Spray all the nuts and bolts of the exhaust system rust removers. Wait for a while.
4. The petrol engine: Remove the holders connectors lambda probe and disunite them.
5. Petrol engine: Disconnect the receiving pipe from the exhaust manifold.
6. Diesel engine: Disconnect the pipe from the receiving pre-catalytic converter, which press the clamp.
7. Move the wooden supports under the system of production, or ask an assistant to hold the system.

8. Remove the holder (1) receiving the tube. The illustration shows the engine 271.

9. Remove the nut (1) on the holder of a transmission. Remove the screw strip, lying underneath. The illustration shows the engine 611.

10. 6-cylinder petrol engine 112: Disconnect the holder of the exhaust system on the vehicle floor.
11. Lower exhaust system complete and remove it.
12. If necessary, disconnect the catalytic converter and silencer.

Used catalytic converter contains valuable raw materials which can be recycled. HUNDRED MERCEDES-BENZ receiving transducers were in use, and their residual value is taken into account when buying a new transmitter.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Check for cracks or damage rubber mounts and mount, if necessary, replace.
2. If the second-hand parts will again be installed, clean the sandpaper from the combustion products and rust pipe flanges. Always use new gaskets, bolts and nuts. To facilitate the loosening of bolts and nuts recommended to lubricate them before installing the high-temperature copper paste.

Do not allow the high-paste into the exhaust system upstream of the catalytic converter. It is not allowed to apply liquid sealant, as the catalytic converter may be dirty.

3. Petrol engine: Set the receiving pipe with a new gasket and secure the exhaust manifold, without tightening.
4. Diesel engine: Set the receiving tube with a new sealing cone in the preliminary catalytic converter and tighten the clamp.

5. Replace the bottom of the car holder (1) exhaust system with rubber feet (2). Set the receiving tube freely without pulling it. Distance elements of the system to release any details of the car must be at least 25 mm.

6. Install the threaded bar (1) of the receiving tube. The nuts (2) on the holder receiving tube be sure to replace with new and tighten to 20Nm.

7. Tighten the connecting flanges and pipe clamps receiving torque 20Nm.

8. Gasoline Engine: Dock connectors lambda probe and fix on supports.
9. Start the engine and check the exhaust system for leaks.
10. Install the lower trim the engine compartment, address to Section Removal and installation of the engine compartment lid from the bottom.
11. Lower the car on wheels.

Check of tightness of system of release

For models with petrol engine and regulated catalytic converter exhaust system leaks before the lambda probe can lead to the following faults:

? Difficulty in starting the engine.
? Engine vibration at idle and stops the engine.
? Jerks during acceleration.

Test conditions: Engine warm or cold.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Start the engine and the engine running, close the cloth silencer.
2. Listen to the exhaust system in order to identify leaks. If necessary, spray the joints cylinder head / exhaust manifold and the exhaust manifold / reception pipe means for leak detection and discover them on emerging bubbles.
3. Eliminate the leaks.
