Removing and installing mounting fuse boxes and relays



Description of the procedures for removing and installing mounting block, combined with SAM modules described in Section Removal and installation of the control modules.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. On models corresponding complete set (code ET2) activate the service mode of the emergency call TELE AID (see. Section Activate / deactivate the service mode of the emergency call AID TELE).
  2. Disconnect the negative wire from the battery.
  3. Remove the instrument panel the left side cover (1).
  4. Release the latches securing the holder (4) fuse in the assembly block (F34), - do not forget to mark the installation position of the components.
  5. Remove the mounting block (F34) the remaining fuses.
  6. Carefully release the retaining clips and remove the mounting block (F34) receptacles (5).

Explanation of attachment to the mounting block wiring are given in section Disconnecting and reconnecting electrical installation units and control modules.

  1. Remove the bolts (2) securing the mounting block (F34).
  2. Loosen the lock nut (6) at the rear of the unit (F34) and disconnect the wiring from the last loop 30) - when installing the lock nut must be replaced.
  3. Remove the mounting block (F34).
  4. Remove the bolts (3) and remove the mounting block (F2) 8 fuses.
  5. Installation is in the reverse order - with the appropriate configuration (code ET2) deactivate service mode of TELE AID (see. Section Activate / deactivate the service mode of the emergency call AID TELE).
  6. Finally, make the DTC reading and clearing of system memory on-board self-diagnostic scanner using STAR DIAGNOSIS (6511 1801 00) (see chap. Systems of an electric motor).

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the fastening screws (1) and pull in the direction of the arrow, remove the cover (2) to the left under the dashboard.
  1. Remove the screws (3) and pull in the direction of the arrows, remove the cover (4).
  1. Remove the screws (6) and release the mounting block (5) of its landing slots and pull it down to provide access to the fuses.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Universal models with long wheel base by prying with a screwdriver, remove the supporting brackets, mounted in front of the sled right front seat.

When installing the clamps should be planted strictly in a certain position at a distance (2) from the edge of the runner.

  1. Push the right seat forward until it stops.
  1. Remove the fastening screws (1) and pull in the direction of the arrow, remove the cover (2) from behind the right-hand wall of the console assembly.

The mounting unit is placed in a box for the installation of battery

The mounting block is placed under a cover in the rear footswitch well. Included in the unit fuses to replace, as a rule, do not need, and in the event of their failure should seek professional help branded SRT Mercedes-Benz.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Turn on the auxiliary battery and connect it to a standard battery, then disconnect the negative cable last.

    7 - Auxiliary battery
    8 - terminal positive wire module
    9 - negative terminal wire module
    W10 - Ground Battery

  1. On models corresponding complete, remove CD-changer (code ER5) / TV-tuner (code EM9) (see. Section Removal and installation CD-changer / TV-tuner).
  2. Remove the receptacle (1) of the uniform lock relay (K44) and the rear wiper (K68).
  3. Release the fasteners (3 and 4) and remove the relay holder (2).
  4. Installation is in the reverse order.
  5. Finally, make the DTC reading and clearing of system memory on-board self-diagnostic scanner using STAR DIAGNOSIS (6511 1801 00) (see chap. Systems of an electric motor).
