Switches



Description of the procedures for removing and installing some of the switches is given in the Handbook on relevant vehicle systems.

Removing and installing steering column switch

Model release of 06.30.02

Details installing steering column switch on models of release on 06.30.02

1 - Screws

S4x1 - Connector wiring combination switch
S40 / 4 - Switch Tempostat / system Speedtronic
S93 / 2 - system switch Linguatronic (VCS / SBS)

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. On models corresponding complete set (code ET2) activate the service mode of the emergency call TELE AID (see. Section Activate / deactivate the service mode of the emergency call AID TELE).
  1. Turn on the auxiliary battery and connect it to a standard battery, then disconnect the negative cable last.

    7 - Auxiliary battery
    8 - terminal positive wire module
    9 - negative terminal wire module
    W10 - Ground Battery

  1. Remove pin cable drum steering wheel (see chap. Suspension and steering).
  2. Remove the screws (1) and remove the cover (2) shirts steering column switch systems Speedtronic (S40 / 4) and Linguatronic (S93 / 2).
  3. Unlock (arrow) and pull to the side of the steering wheel, disconnect from the housing of the combination switch (S4) connector (3).
  4. Remove a switch (S4) with the cover (2).
  5. Disconnect the connector (S4x1).
  6. Installation is in the reverse order - on the model of the corresponding configuration (code ET2) deactivate service mode of TELE AID (see. Section Activate / deactivate the service mode of the emergency call AID TELE).
  7. Finally, make the DTC reading and clearing of system memory on-board self-diagnostic scanner using STAR DIAGNOSIS (6511 1801 00) (see chap. Systems of an electric motor) and enter the required basic settings avionics.
  8. Make sure of serviceability of functioning of the steering column switch.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the steering wheel and pin cable drum (A45) (see chap. Suspension and steering).
  2. Remove the gauge of the steering angle (B24 / 8) (see chap. Suspension and steering).
  3. Pulling, release switches Tempostat / system Speedtronic (S40 / 4) and / or adjust the steering column (S59) from the assembly (2).
  4. Installation is performed in reverse order - do not forget to activate the sensor (B24 / 8), on the model of the corresponding configuration (code ET2) deactivate service mode of TELE AID (see. Section Activate / deactivate the service mode of the emergency call AID TELE).
  5. Finally, make the DTC reading and clearing of system memory on-board self-diagnostic scanner using STAR DIAGNOSIS (6511 1801 00) (see chap. Systems of an electric motor) and enter the required basic settings avionics.
  6. Make sure of serviceability of functioning of the steering column switch.

  3. Remove switches Tempostat / system Speedtronic (S40 / 4) and adjust the steering column (S59) (See above.).
  4. Remove the clamping screw (2), - the screw is in the assembly of the switches (3).
  5. Pulling out, release the switch assembly (3) from the steering column jacket.
  6. Remove the bolts (4) and remove the module (N80) from the assembly (3).
  7. Separate from the module (N80) combination switch (S4).
  8. Installation is in the reverse order - track reliability connector snaps into place (5/6).
  9. On models corresponding complete set (code ET2) deactivate service mode of TELE AID (see. Section Activate / deactivate the service mode of the emergency call AID TELE).
  10. Finally, make the DTC reading and clearing of system memory on-board self-diagnostic scanner using STAR DIAGNOSIS (6511 1801 00) (see chap. Systems of an electric motor) and enter the required basic settings avionics.
  11. Make sure of serviceability of functioning of the steering column switch.
