4-speed AT (RE4F03B) installed on models with engines of 1.2 and 1.4 liters.

During the beginning of the movement AT acts as an ordinary clutch, and when the vehicle is the job of switching gears.

The main units of the AT are the torque converter (torque converter), planetary gear, hydraulic or electronic control units. To move to a different gear ratio in the planetary gear unit hydraulically applied brake disk and tape and disk clutch.

Torque converter on the functions corresponds to hydraulic clutch. Its task is the implementation of the clutch when starting and changing gears. The torque converter is equipped with a locking clutch, offering direct traction engine with AT.

Driving control AT

The control system of automatic transmission paired with the engine management system via CAN bus and based on an analysis of data from various information gauges (not necessarily directly related to the operation of the actual transmission), selects the optimum in terms of efficiency, smooth shifting and other mode of operation of the AT. AT has a control unit (TCM). When a fault is detected in the memory control unit writes the appropriate code (see. Specifications).

Location control system components AT

AT only maintenance procedure, the implementation of which should be done on a regular basis, it is to check the level of its working fluid (ATF) and replacing the ATF. The order of execution of the procedures set out in section Check of levels of liquids, the control of leakages and replacement of gear oil and Manual transmission AT (respectively).

Through the use of the D / V mode ?P? / ?N? (sensor PNP) to start the engine can be carried out only when the selector AT lever is in the "P" or ?N?, which helps prevent accidental movement of the car while trying to run.

And when the system sensors is used by the TCM, the AT goes to emergency mode. The vehicle can move forward only on the 4th gear. E / m shift valve de-energized.

This chapter provides only general information on the AT. For more information on the principles of operation and maintenance of the AT's Guide 179 "Automatic transmissions of modern cars" publisher "ARUS."

1 - Works when the mode switch ?O / D? is set to ?OFF?.
* 2 - The oil pressure is applied to both sides of the "2nd enabled" and "3rd off" amplifying piston tape.
* 3 - The oil pressure is applied to the side of the "4th included" provided * 2.
* 4 - AT will not switch to 4th gear when the mode switch ?O / D? is set to ?OFF?.
A - Works, when the throttle is open not more than 3/16, the engine brake is activated.
B - Works under hard acceleration.
C - Works but does not affect the transfer of power.
D - Works, when the throttle is open not more than 3/16; no effect on the power transfer.
