Programming the reference values for the engine management system

Programming the gas pedal is released

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. This procedure should be performed each time after disconnecting the wiring or ECM throttle position sensor.
  2. Make sure the accelerator pedal is fully released.
  3. Turn on the ignition and wait at least 2 seconds.
  4. Turn off the ignition and wait at least 10 seconds.
  5. Turn on the ignition and wait at least 2 seconds.
  6. Turn off the ignition and wait at least 10 seconds.

Programming the closed throttle position

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. This procedure should be performed each time after disconnecting the wiring or ECM activator throttle.
  2. Make sure the accelerator pedal is fully released.
  3. Turn on the ignition, then switch it off and wait at least 10 seconds.
  4. Check at the hearing that the throttle is moved within 10 seconds.

Programming activator throttle in the idle position

PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. This procedure should be performed each time after disconnecting the wiring or ECM activator throttle, as well as unsatisfactory results of test idle speed or ignition timing.

The following describes the programming without using the diagnostic tool.

  1. Before programming, make sure you meet the following requirements:
    • Battery voltage is not less than 12.9 at idle;
    • Coolant warmed to a temperature of 70 ÷ 95 degrees;
    • PNP sensor incorporated;
    • Lights, K / B and heated rear window off (on models with DRL set the outdoor lighting in the 1-position);
    • The wheels are mounted in a straight-ahead position;
    • The vehicle is stationary;
    • Transmission at operating temperature.
  2. Program the position of the gas pedal is released and closed throttle.
  3. Start the engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.
  4. Turn off the ignition and wait at least 10 seconds.
  5. Make sure the accelerator pedal is fully released and the switch on the ignition for at least 3 seconds.
  6. Within 5 seconds, 5 times in a row Fully depress and release the gas pedal.
  7. Wait 7 seconds, fully depress the accelerator pedal and hold it for about 20 seconds while K / L failure stops blinking and turns off.
  8. Release the accelerator pedal within 3 seconds after it turns off the K / L.
  9. Start the engine and let it run at idle. Several times, increase turnover and make according to the idle speed and ignition timing requirements of the Specifications.

Diagram programming is shown in the illustration below.

  1. If the desired result is not achieved, perform the following steps:
    • Make sure that the throttle is fully closed;
    • Check the valve PCV;
    • Make sure that the downward flow through the throttle is not sucked air;
    • When the three conditions described above, check the components of the engine management system.
