Cardan shafts represent a double tubular sleeve equipped with universal (cardan) joints with flanges on foreign holders of frogs from both ends of the shaft. (see. accompanying illustration).

  • When the vertical movement of the front and rear axles during the movement of the car, the length of the PTO shaft varies accordingly by applying to one end of the assembly fitted with sliding joint splines.
  • Cardan spider consists of four needle roller bearings with fixed retaining rings cups.
  • Front propeller shaft on models with a body type Utiliti (Utility) and Mini truck (Cab Chassis) equipped with double universal joint, is an assembly of two universal joints. When worn or damaged obvious double universal joint shaft must be replaced complete.
  • When repairing the universal (cardan) joints is important in the process of dismantling to take care of a clear labeling of the mutual position of flanges, brackets and hoses, - the assembly must be installed exactly in the same position.
