Ignition system check

1. If the starter cranks the crankshaft and the engine does not start, check the inspection of wires, plugs, distributor cap and slider.
2. If these items are in good condition, check the integrity of the high-voltage wires. To do this, turn the ignition off, disconnect the coil wire from the distributor and fasten 45 mm from the stripped portion of the mass. Provernuv starter motor watch for sparks. In the presence of sparks to be sought in other systems breakdown of the engine. If there is no spark or sparks are observed intermittently, it is necessary to further check the ignition system.
3. Warm up the engine (if you can run), and then stop.
4. Check the battery voltage with the ignition off and consumers. If the voltage is below 11.5 V, remove the battery and charge (if the battery does not remain under stress for a long time, check the charging circuit).
5. If the battery voltage when the starter below 9.6 V, the battery is fully charged. Remove the battery and recharge.
6. Check the distributor cap and wires. When measuring the resistance of the spark, attached to the lid of the distributor, the ohmmeter less than 30 Com (photo), the output cap and wire intact.

7. Vehicles 19,871,988 years. Check the insulation resistance between the electrodes of the cover (see photo). If the resistance is below normal, then replace the cover.
8. Check the resistance of the secondary winding of the ignition coil by connecting the ohmmeter with the ignition off between the high voltage, output and H coil (photo). If the reading is not correct, replace the coil.
