Starter replacement brushes



Starter gearless
1. Remove the starter and the traction relay.
2. Remove the rear seal (see photo).

3. Remove the retaining ring and thrust washer.
4. On the back cover, unscrew the two screws on the brush holder.
5. Remove the locking screws and remove the back cover.
6. Remove the brush holder (pictured), take the spring and remove the brush. If the height of the brush is less than 12 mm, the Unsolder and solder them with new ones.
7. Assemble the starter in reverse order.
Starter with gear
8. Remove the starter and the traction relay.
9. Remove the locking screws (see photo).
10. Remove the back cover, without damaging the ring.
11. Separate the lid from the yoke assembly from the armature and the brush holder.
12. Allow the spring and remove the brush from the brush holder (pictured), Unsolder and solder a new (if the height of the brush less than the norm).
13. Assemble the starter in reverse order.
