Removal and installation of the water pump



The engines working volume of 1,1 and 1,3 l

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Drain the cooling system.
2. Remove the top cover Timing (see. Subsection 2.2.1.7).
3. Rotate the crankshaft so that the hole in the camshaft gear was visible bolt rear camshaft drive cover. Unscrew and remove the bolt.
4. Remove camshaft drive belt (see. Subsection 2.2.1.7).
5. Remove bolts securing the rear cover and the camshaft drive water pump.
6. Remove the back cover of the camshaft drive.
7. Remove the water pump 15 (see Fig. Fig. Parts of the cooling system of engines in working volume of 1,1 and 1,3) and a sealing ring 14.
8. The water pump can not be repaired. In case of failure of the water pump must be replaced.
9. Place the pump in reverse order. Tighten the water pump to 10 Nm (1.0 kgs.m).

The engines working volume of 1,6 and 1,8

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Drain the cooling system
2. Remove alternator drive belt (see. Subsection 2.2.2.1).
3. Remove the generator.
4. Remove the mounting bracket of the generator.
5. Disconnect the hose from the pump housing 2 (see. Fig. Parts of the cooling system of engines in working volume 1,6 and 1,8 liters), 3 and 15.
6. Unscrew the bolts of the water pump, remove the pump and O-ring.
7. Loosen the bolts of the pulley and remove the pulley 11.
8. Remove bolts 6, remove the cover of the thermostat 5 slot and remove the thermostat 8, remove the O-ring 7.
9. Unscrew the cover bolts and remove the pump cover 9 with the water pump impeller. Remove the gasket 12.
The water pump often fail impeller, shaft seal and bearing. When down came at least one of these items, you must replace all three parts.
10. Assemble and install the pump in reverse order. Bolts of fastening of the pump pulley and tighten to 20 Nm (2.0 kgf ?� m), and the pump cover bolts - 10 Nm (1.0 kgf-m). Replace the gasket 12 and O-ring of the water pump.
