Adjusting the gearshift

Template for adjustment gearshift

1 - special template VW 3104;

2 - lever gearshift

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Place the transmission in neutral.

2. Remove the handle 1.

3. Remove the cover 11.

4. Loosen the clamp bolt 31, 29 so that the shaft 15 of the gearshift to move freely.

5. To establish a special template VW3104 (see. Fig. Pattern to adjust the gearshift), thereby centering the position of the lever 2 shift.

6. Tighten the bolt 31 (see. Fig. The gear change mechanism) clamp 29.

7. Check the correct gear.

8. Set the cover 11.

9. Tighten the handle 1.

Eccentric adjustment

Since January 1991, instead of a ball joint on the gear lever establish the adjusting eccentric (see. Subsection 5.2.4).
