1. Loosen the top screw 7 (see. Fig. Fastening generator) fastening of the generator. |
2. Loosen the adjusting bolt 4. |
3. Loosen the bolt 3. |
4. Turn the generator 1 to the side of the engine. |
5. Remove the belt 1 (see. Fig. Adjust alternator drive belt on models of release till 04.1985 g) drive a generator. |
6. Install the new alternator drive belt. |
7. Tighten slightly adjusting bolt 6 so that the generator does not spontaneously turned. |
8. Place the arm between the engine and generator, and with his help turn the generator, thereby pulling the alternator drive belt. If the belt is tensioned correctly, under strong pressure finger at M it should bend over backwards to 5 mm under the old belt and 2 mm when installing a new belt. |
9. Tighten the screws 3 (see. Fig. Mounting the generator), 4 and 7. |
On models with April 1985 |
A warning On 04.1985, the redesigned tensioner alternator drive belt. Instead of adjusting bolt set bolt and an adjusting nut with teeth, and adjusting a strap rack. The belt is tightened by turning the adjusting nut which moves the rack.
Depending on the type of fastening of the generator is an adjusting lath or the top or bottom.

10. Loosen the bottom bolt of fastening of the generator. |
11. Loosen the screw 5 (see. Fig. Adjust alternator drive belt on models of release after 04.1985 g) fastening of an adjusting lath. |
12. Loosen the bolt of the adjusting nut 4. |
13. Spin the adjusting nut until the generator is not rotated to such an extent that it was possible to remove the belt. |
14. Install the new belt. |
15. Tighten the adjusting nut 3 and tighten to 4 Nm at the old drive belt and 8 Nm with the new. This achieves the desired tension of the alternator drive belt. |
16. Tighten the bolt 4 to 35 Nm, while holding the adjusting nut. |
17. Tighten the bolt 5 to 20 Nm. |
18. Tighten the bottom bolt of fastening of the generator. |
