1. Check with an ohmmeter that there are no breaks in the stator winding and do not close all the turns on whether the "weight". |
2. To do this, one terminal ohmmeter connected to the stator housing, and the second - in turn to the three terminals of the winding. |
3. Then one by one to check the resistance between the three terminals of the winding, with the ohmmeter should be 0,25-0,28 Ohm generator 35 A and 0,14-0,16 Ohm - generator 55 A. |
4. Check the rotor resistance (see options. Subsection 12.2.1). |
5. Check the diode rectifier unit. Defective diode passes current in only one direction. Faulty may not pass a current (open circuit) or pass a current in both directions (short circuit). This one terminal ohmmeter connected to the body diode, and the second - to pin diode. |
6. Check the slip rings to the rotor shaft. If they are burnt or scratched, they should be clear, and you can (if required) machined on a lathe. |
7. Check the voltage regulator. The voltage regulator can not be repaired. |
