Tie Rod



Withdrawal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To disconnect a wire from "the minus" plug of the storage battery.
2. Lay the bars under the rear wheels.
3. Loosen the wheel bolts.
4. Lift the front of the car and set it on supports.
5. Remove the wheel.
6. Measure the length of the external thread of the ball joint 15, protruding from the nut 1, and write it (see. Fig. The steering mechanism).
7. Remove the outer nut 1 ball joint 15.
8. Press out the ball joint outer tie rod 15.
9. Remove the clamp 5 Dirt cover 6.
10. Pull mud cover 6 with the flange 24 of gear and move it.
11. Loosen the lock nut 7 and mark the position of the ink end of the internal hinge 4 on the thread of the rack 8.
12. Remove the inner ball joint 4 and to remove draft 2 or 13.
13. Remove the mud cover 6 and the clamp 5 with tie rod.

A warning

Damaged tie rods can not be repaired and must always be replaced.


PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Adjust the length of the right-hand track rod tip 13 16 tie rod by loosening the lock nut 14. The length of the right tie rod 13 must be 379 mm (381 mm for the automatic gearbox). Tighten the lock nut 14 to 35 Nm.
2. Left Tie Rod, installed at the factory, is not regulated. When replacing the installed adjustable traction, the length of which it is necessary to adjust the length of an old, unregulated traction.
3. Tighten the locknut new steering draft the moment of 35 Nm.
4. Set the rack so that both ends out of the housing at an equal distance.
5. Inspect carefully mud cover 6 and at the slightest damage to replace him.
6. To put on the new tie rod clamp 5 and 6 mud cover.
7. Install the inner ball joint 4 to a point made earlier in the thread of the rack 8, or at a distance of a = 70.5 mm (see. Fig. The steering mechanism).
8. Tighten the lock nut to 35 Nm.
9. Press in the outer ball joint 15 in the arm knuckle.
A warning

Every time you install a steering rod is necessary to use a new nut 1 of the outer ball joint.


10. Tighten the nut 1 on the length, measured before, 35 N ?� m.
11. Fit the mud cover 6 on the flange 24 of gear, and the other end - the slot on the rubber bushing 3.
12. Install the clamp 5 on the cover 6 mud.
13. Adjust the toe-in of the front wheels (see. Subsection 9.1.7).
