Output seal the half-line

Removing the gland flange spend the half-line in the following order:

- Hang out the front of the car and lock the support columns;

- Unscrew and remove the drive shaft flange on the drive gearbox. When replacing right differential, unscrew the O-ring from the bottom of the frame opposed to the steering, and the interior of the drive shaft, attach the wire to the body. When replacing left differential seal ring remove the drive shaft from the vehicle;

- On cars with a manual gearbox, remove drive flange from the gearbox. To remove the flange semiaxis located under the flange on the gearbox casing of steel plate, screw the bolts in the flange long as long as the bolts in the plate uperevshis not derive flange of the gearbox;

- On cars with automatic transmission, remove the cover in the central part of the flange, remove the snap ring and dished washer, after noting its position. Remove the flange half-axis of the automatic transmission;

- Using the appropriate tool or a screwdriver to remove the seal from the gearbox housing. Mark the position of the gland.

Install gland flange spend the half-line in the following order:

- Thoroughly clean the slot for the seal ring;

- Lubricate sealing lips of oil seal with oil. install the oil seal into the socket it properly oriented. To install the oil seal using a tubular mandrel of appropriate diameter;

- On cars with automatic transmission, set the spring in the thrust washer and install them with the tapered ring. Check that the cone ring is located to the side with a shoulder thrust washer;

- Lubricate sealing lips of oil seal with oil and install the flange axis. Install the flange of the half-line to the place of putting on it blows with a hammer through a wooden block. To install the flange axle to vehicles with automatic transmission requires the use of special tools VW3109 (Fig. 9.23);

- On cars with automatic transmission, set the Belleville washer, retaining ring and protective cover;

- Establish the internal hinge on the flange of the semi-axis gearbox and tighten bolts regulated torque;

- Check the oil level in the gearbox and top up if necessary.
