Replacing steering rod
Replace in the following order: - Remove the steering gear in connection with the probability of damage to the rack and pinion; - Release clamps and slide on the steering draft a protective cover; - Wipe the visible traces of grease;

- Fix in a vice with soft sponges steering gear (Fig. 11.16) and rotate the drive gear, move the rack in the appropriate direction; - Set on the edge of the ball joint housing 32 mm wrench and loosen the tie rod; - Clean the old grease from the threads in the interior of the rack;

- Clean the threads of the respective tap (M14h1,5) in the rack (Fig. 11.17);

- In the second round of the thread rack apply one drop means D-6, which prevents loosening steering rod (Fig. 11.18); - Screw the tie rod to the rack;

- Before installing the left traction, make sure that the size of the support between the inner end of the hinge axis and the spherical rod end is 395 mm (Fig. 11.19); - Lubricate the rack with grease type AOF 063 000 04; - Establish a protective cover on the steering transmission and fix collars.
