The mechanism of control of the steering column (Fig. 11.10) can be removed from the column by unscrewing and lowering the steering column.
When installing the control of the steering column, note the following:
- Is necessary to apply grease to the sliding surface of the controller of the steering column;
- When installing the bolt lever, tighten the bolt torque;
- Install the safety plate after tightening bolts;
- Make sure that the return springs are securely connected to the bracket.
