Oil pump
Remove and install the oil pump as follows: - Remove the oil pan (see. Sect. 3.1.10);

- Disconnect the partition 11 (Fig. 3.28) from the sump oil receiver 8; - Loosen the fastening bolts 9 and remove the oil receiver oil receiver 8 with the oil pump; - Remove the bolts securing the oil pump 7 and remove the oil pump from the cylinder block; - Remove the bolts securing the cover 6 of the oil pump and remove the pump 5. It is a pressure reducing valve; - Rinse the pump parts in kerosene; - Inspect the pump parts, replace the damaged parts;

- Check the axial play of the oil pump gears and the gap between the teeth of the gear (Fig. 3.29, 3.30). If they exceed the permissible values (see. Sect. 3.1.1), and if damaged, replace the pump assembly; - Immerse the pump in fresh engine oil, turning the drive shaft 3 (see. Fig. 3.28), fill the pump; - Clean the mating surfaces; - Establish the oil pump on the block of cylinders and tighten the bolts fastening 7; - Install new O-ring on the oil receiver 10; - Set ups on the oil pump and tighten the screws 9; - Install the oil pan.
