The clutch pedal



Removing the clutch pedal is performed as follows:
- Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery;
- Remove the cover from the fuse box, remove the mounting screws and remove the lower part of the instrument panel;
- Remove the two screws securing the panel to the bottom of the steering column and remove the panel;
- On the clutch with a hydraulic drive, remove the spring bracket and remove the pin of the pedal;
- On the clutch cable-operated disconnect the cable from the clutch release lever and clutch pedal;
- Remove the spring bracket axle brake and clutch pedals and moving to the right, remove the axis of the pedal;
- Disconnect the spring from the servo clutch pedal and pull the pedal;
- Check the condition of the clutch pedal bushing and replace it if necessary;

- Remove the spring bracket, washer and servo spring 11 (Fig. 7.2).
Install the clutch pedal spend in the following order:

- Installation of a pedal 5 (Fig. 7.3) Clutch spend to sequences, return to removal. Before installation grease the pedal and sleeve thin layer of grease. To set the required servo spring tool VW3113 or the like (Fig. 7.4). On vehicles with mechanical (rope) operated clutch swipe adjust clutch cable.

ATTENTION
Since August 1992, the cars set uniform clutch pedal bracket (Fig. 7.5) is the same for mechanical (rope) and a hydraulic clutch actuator, which resulted in changing the design of the clutch pedal, servopruzhiny and stop the axis of the pedal. Elements unified clutch pedal bracket and earlier interchangeable brackets. As the parts can only be purchased with brackets guide tube for mechanical clutch cable (indicated by the arrow in the figure). When installed on a vehicle with a hydraulic clutch arm needs some work (guide tube is necessary to cut the rope).
