The motor drive mechanism for the tailgate window

Before you decide to replace the motor, inspect the window mechanism, raise and lower the glass by hand. Also, check the wiring and switches.
Replace in the following order:
- Access to the motor drive power window mechanism, first remove the window;

Removing the cover drive cable
Fig. 16.47. Removing the cover drive cable: 1 - electric motor; 2 - a cover

- Remove cover 1 (Fig. 16.47) drive housing and gasket;

NOTE
Cover assembly is used to secure the drive cable with the aim to prevent the inevitable spillage of the spring-loaded parts of the mechanism.

- Remove the cover from the new motor assembly;

Install the cover on the drive mechanism with cable clamps
Fig. 16.48. Install the cover on the drive mechanism via the cable clamps: 1 - a cover of the drive cable; 2 - clamps

- Secure the cover 1 (Fig. 16.48) in the old building of the electric cable window with clamps 2;

Installation of the old gear (1) of the new gear (2) and new spacers (3)
Fig. 16.49. Installation of the old gear (1) of the new gear (2) and new spacers (3)

- Remove the new drive gear motor and remote washer and install them on the mechanism of 1 (Fig. 16.49) drive cable;
- Fix the cable to the drive mechanism of the new motor;
- Slightly post drive mechanism so as to align the gear motor and gear drive cable;
- Remove the clamps and the actuator cover;
- Without prejudice to the drive mechanism, check for correct installation of the motor and gear drive cable;
- Replace the cover and gasket. Evenly tighten the bolts diagonally.
