The pivot of the rear wheel

Removing a pin in the following order:

- Lock the front wheels;

- Hang out and fix on support struts rear of the vehicle;

- Remove the brake drum / hub or disk / hub;

- For vehicles with drum brakes, remove the rear wheel brake;

- Disconnect the brake line from the working brake cylinder;

- Disconnect the cable of a manual brake;

- Unscrew the screws and remove the brake shield and pin.

Install in the reverse order of removal.

For vehicles with disc rear brakes check and, if necessary, secure the cover ring special tool VW-519 or tubular mandrel of appropriate diameter (Fig. 10.22).

Bleed the brake system and adjust the handbrake.
