When equipped with self-leveling suspension system of a vehicle, the shock absorbers have pnevmoelementy 7 (Fig. 10.38), replaces the conventional hydraulic piston. Block air compressor supplies compressed air to the air spring elements. For noise reduction compressor is placed in an insulated housing. The principle of operation of the system - Automatic, but at the same time allows for the manual adjustment by pressing the knob on the control unit. Normally, this adjustment is only required when transporting bulky cargo or towing. Under normal circumstances, the button should be in a position "4". Self-leveling suspension system when the ignition is turned on and (or) with open doors or the trunk lid / tailgate.
A WARNING An air leak from the system vehicle speed must not exceed 60 km / h. |
Check leveling Checks are made in the following order: - Before starting work, disconnect the "minus" wire from the battery terminals; - Park the vehicle on level ground with a hard surface; - The vehicle must be unloaded, its door - closed and the ignition - inclusive; - Adjust the control unit to "6" (high level), and then turn the knob to "4" (normal level); - Close the trunk lid / tailgate;

|
- Measure the distance between the wheel center and the edge of the wing body (Fig. 10.39). The measured distance shall be equal to the rules-based; - If the level is not correct, perform a full system scan at the station.
Removal and installation of elements of self-regulation Before you start Disconnect "minus" wire from the battery terminals. To remove air from the system, unscrew the valve air pressure and fully release the air from the system. Removal and installation of the pneumatic element in the following order: - Disconnect "minus" wire from the battery terminals; - Remove the floor trim and side trim of the luggage compartment;

|
- Disconnect the sensor wiring on the connector and display it in the wheel arch (Fig. 10.40); - Hang out and fix on support struts rear of the vehicle;

|
- Remove pneumoelement the same manner as that shown for the rear suspension of conventional type. Pneumoelements Installation spend to sequences, return to removal. Removing and installing control unit self-leveling in the following order: - Disconnect "minus" wire from the battery terminals; - Remove the left trim panel of the luggage compartment; - Remove the control unit from the compressor;

Unit Installation spend to sequences, return to removal. Removing and installing compressor leveling in the following order: - Disconnect "minus" wire from the battery terminals; - Remove air from the system; - Disconnect the earth trail compressor housing; - Loosen the rubber mounting strap and remove the unit from the compressor wheel arches; - Disconnect the power management system of self-regulation; - Separating the protective cover, remove the compressor. The installation of the compressor spend to sequences, return to removal.
