Removal and installation of the production of LuK clutch

Withdrawal
Remove the gearbox.
Insert the support to release the screws.
Release the screws gradually, crosswise.
Remove the pressure plate and clutch disc.

Setting
Installation is performed in reverse order, with the need to pay attention to the following points.

NOTE
Replace the pressure plate and clutch disc only together. Determine the pressure plate and clutch disc by Engine code.
Adjustment ring clutch pressure plate c automatic adjustment of the working gap, if necessary, revise or withdraw to the starting position only in new proizvodstvava clutches LuK.
Check whether there are any-fitting sleeves for centering the engine / gearbox to the engine block, if necessary, insert them.
In the absence of fitting sleeves difficulties arise when switching, problems of coupling and, accordingly, the noise in the gearbox (crack in the drive wheels).

Installation position of the clutch disc

The inscription "Transmission" faces the gearbox (Fig. 3.30).

Check the diaphragm spring end

Check the ends of the diaphragm spring (Fig. 3.34).
Permissible wear diaphragm spring to half its thickness.
Checking keyways and compounds riveted

Check keyways and riveted joints
Fig. 3.35. Check keyways and riveted joints

Check for damage to the dowel joints A and clamped connections on the rivet (Fig. 3.35).

NOTE
Replace the clutch discs and pressure plates with damaged or no connection to the rivets.
Replace the clutch disc and pressure plate together only.
Determine the pressure plate and clutch disc by Engine code.
To reduce a burnt smell in the case of adhesion, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the cap clutch and the flywheel and the engine by the transmission.
Clean Teeth primary shaft and using the clutch - Teeth hub, remove corrosion and apply to the Teeth, very thin layer of grease to the gear clutch connection. Then move the clutch disc in one and the other side until the hub is not easy to walk on the shaft. Be sure to remove excess grease.
The pressure plates are protected against corrosion and greased. They can be cleaned only to the work surface, otherwise significantly shorten the life of the clutch.
The working surface of the pressure plate and clutch disc pad should fit snugly to the flywheel. Only then you can insert the screws.

Installation support
Fig. 3.36. Installation support

When installing, insert the support (Fig. 3.36).
Put on the pressure plate on the locator pins.
To center the clutch plate using the centering rod.
Evenly tighten all screws by hand until the screw head is not adjacent to the pressure plate.
Tighten the screws progressively crosswise to prevent damage to the centering hole pressure plate and dual-mass flywheel dowel pins.
Install transmission.

Check and, if necessary, retraction to the starting position of the mounting ring self-installing the pressure plate (only brand new clutches LuK)
Working operations described below apply only to the clutch, made in LuK.
A prerequisite is the installation of a new pressure plate and new clutch disc.
If you install a used pressure plate and clutch disc thumbwheel return to the starting position is not permitted.
The couplings, made in ?Sachs? can not take the pressure plate to the starting position

The position of the adjusting ring in the pressure plate
Fig. 3.37. The position of the adjusting ring in the pressure plate

When installing a new pressure plate and clutch disc, check the position of the adjusting ring in the pressure plate (Fig. 3.37).
The adjusting ring should be given back to the stop
Thus the springs are compressed until "touch adjacent turns"
Otherwise, due to the reduced contact pressure clutch clutch disc will be subject to increased wear.
If the springs are compressed to "touch the adjacent turns of" unscrew adjusting ring to its original position

Bolts pressure plate
Fig. 3.38. Bolts pressure plate

Insert as shown in Figure 3.38, three bolts pressure plate, M6x35, A, offset by 120 ? in a mounting hole of the pressure disc.
B - spacer height of about 20 mm, for example: a nozzle allen key SW 10 for driving 1/4 inch.
3 Screw the nut C on the screws A.
Place the pressure plate in the manufacturing the press so that it rests only 3 bolt heads.
Align thrust washer in the middle of a press disk.
In the next step, do not use extreme force, otherwise it can be destroyed forks thumbwheel
Put the screwdriver to the two pins of the adjusting ring.
Press press the pressure plate while adjusting ring can not be moved.
Acting uniformly both screwdrivers, move the adjusting ring in the direction of the arrow back to the stop.
Hold the adjusting ring in position against the stop and thus reduces the pressure of the press so that the adjusting ring remains in this position.
