The ball joint (ball bearing) and rubber bushing control arm must be replaced with new ones. The ball joint is held on the lower transverse arm by means of three bolts (see. Fig. 263) on the top and base plate with welded nuts. A method of mounting the lower arm and the position of the rubber bushings are shown in Fig. 263.
When installing the bolts tightened to 35 Nm after the head bolts will be installed again in the position marked during removal. In Sect. 12.5 is described by replacing the ball joint without removing the control arm.
Rubber support control arm can be replaced, it is recommended to carry out this work to the service station. Bushes should be pressed into a certain position. Under no circumstances should you try to beat the sleeve and the new score. This requires the press. If you are going to carry out this work yourself, you should focus on how to set the sleeve back support. One of the arrows embossed on the sleeve, should be set after pressing against the mark A, shown in Fig. 269.
