Adjusting the parking brake
Adjusting the parking brake on vehicles with drum brakes performed nuts at the end of the lever parking brake inside the vehicle. The parking brake should be adjusted only after the replacement of its cables. The adjustment should be carried out in the following order: - Release the parking brake lever;

- Move the front of the parking brake lever a decorative top cover 3 (see Fig. 310) and lower it down. This opens access to both the parking brake cable; - Press once to lock the brake pedal; - Tighten the parking brake lever on four clicks (tooth); | Fig. 287. Nuts to adjust the handbrake cable

- Uniformly tighten adjusting nuts indicated in Fig. 287, as long as it will be possible to crank arm both rear wheels (raised above the ground). Adjusting nut is on the lower side of the parking brake lever (Fig. 288); - Release the parking brake lever to check the free rotation of the wheels.
