Adjusting and removing the V-belt tension

Ribbed Belts tensioned mechanism with built-in spring, so check the belt tension is not required. Carry the belt tension is only required if the belt for some reason, had to withdraw.
For various tensioning devices are used. One execution is equipped with a tension roller, and the other - no. When removing and installing the belt for this reason there are differences.
Belt drive without tension roller
To remove the V-belt must be sledat following:
- Dismantle the V-ribbed belt for the power steering units, if installed (see. The appropriate Div.);
- To note the direction of rotation of the belt if it is installed again. To do this, put a felt pen on the belt an arrow indicating the direction of rotation. The direction of rotation of the crankshaft, when viewed from the pulley, the right (clockwise);
- Unscrew indicated in Fig. 103 bolts of fastening of the generator 1 and 2 fastening coupling collars;

- Press down the generator using the specified in Fig. 103 special tools or mounting of the blade against the spring tension to loosen the belt tension. Fig. 104 shows how to install the tool on the generator in the assembled state;

- Take down the mudguard and remove the belt.
Troubleshooting belt immediately subject to the availability of:
- Cracks or breaks;
- Peeling of the coating layer or the working surfaces of the belt;
- Deterioration of working surfaces;
- Worn or shiny edges;
- Traces of oil or grease.
Damaged belt should always be replaced.
When installing and adjusting the belt, proceed as follows:
- Install the belt on the crankshaft pulley and alternator. Installation former belt to observe the direction of rotation marking. Set against the original direction of rotation increases belt wear and can even cause its rupture;
- Generator take at least three times the way down to ensure the ease of its stroke;
- Press down the generator using the specified special tools and install the belt on the pulley of the generator;
- Start up the engine and let it run for at least 10 seconds at idle. This belt is tensioned spring. Bolts generator are weakened. If you pull the belt when the engine is dismantled, it will have to turn the crankshaft by at least 10 revolutions also at loose bolts generator;
- Tighten indicated in Fig. 103 bolts 1 and 2 to 25 Nm. Tighten first screw 2, and then bolt 1. When tightening the screws can not exert any pressure on the generator or press your hands on taut belt;
- Install and tighten the belt power steering pump (see. A separate section). Install shield and other details.

Both drive belt shown in Fig. 105 and 106. In Fig. 107 one can see how the belt is installed, if the power steering pump is driven by the individual V-belt. Here again is used to tension the special lever to rotate the tension roller for belt tensioning.
To remove the V-ribbed belt, proceed as follows:
- Remove the V-belt power steering pump;
- Note the direction of rotation of poly V-belt. For this deal or felt-tip marker arrow pointing towards the direction of rotation;
- Take the tension roller by the lever 3299. Lever VW, as shown in Fig. 107 is inserted into the roller and moved in the direction indicated by the arrow. This is removed from the belt tension;
- Take the belt drive flap down and remove ribbed belt;
- Check the condition of the belt as described above;
- Set-ribbed belt. For this raise with a lever tensioning roller and install the belt on the tensioner pulley and alternator pulley. When reinstalling the old belt is necessary to observe the direction of rotation marked. Then let go of the tension roller and tension the belt;
- Press plate belt drive with spring clips.
